Rebecca and Paul’s wedding day was a first for By the Bokeh, as it was a Jewish Wedding held at Prestwich Hebrew Congregation in Manchester. The ceremony room was a stunning canvas of red and gold with a viewing balcony that displayed the entire room in all it’s glory.

The after party was hosted nearby on the wonderful roof terrace of the Great John Street Hotel, which started with the ‘Hora’ dancing which involves the Bride and Groom being lifted high amongst the crowds; which resulted in some excellent snapshots. Speeches and food followed the classic dancing before we stole away the newly wed couple for a short relaxing walk in a nearby park for some casual shots of just the two of them.

After a bite to eat and some drinks we shot the formal photo’s, using the venue and guests as our backdrop and they had a very casual style. With Chris atop a chair, camera in hand, and Laura gathering guests we were quickly away again capturing the couple alongside their family and friends in the photo-journalistic style we love to use.
